Places of Invention is an exhibition at the National Museum of American History. It features six communities and represents different time periods and the technologies that evolved from that place. The project requirement for this assignment was to create a promotional brochure and invitation for people to attend. Elements to include are envelopes and other relatable materials as needed.

Chapter 01

History Doesn't Have To Be Boring

The concept for this brochure was to come up with a design that was fun while still maintaining historical integrity. Combining illustrations with photograph gives it a light-minded approach which welcomes all individuals varying in culture to attend. A combination of a futuristic san serif and a timeless decorative serif keeps things current yet timeless. And a color theory of different tones provides both seriousness and
fun to this exhibition.
